Pooch Progress....

I try to make every one of my pet portraits unique so that they are special for the client. This painting has a lot of energy and I'm feeling like some background movement adds to the vibrancy. 

For some reason this particular dog just seems to call for deep greens. I love this emerald oasis of grass and the constellation of dandelions in progress. They mirror the million spots in his fur. Still trying to sort out the horizon....
